Look! A house! (sort of)

Well the framing was delayed a bit, but the crew of 11+ has made MAJOR progress in just 3 days - enough for a mid-week blog post!  In fact, they started on the roof this afternoon!  I love that our house is so "BAM" as you turn onto the street, and it's all you see in the rear view mirror as you drive away.   This cul de sac is all about us.  :)

Mom took a bajillion pictures, but truthfully unless you designed this house or logged the hours I have scrutinizing every last detail, most of the framing pictures won't mean much to you at this point. Here's just a sample.

This is taken from mom and dad's front door looking into their open kitchen/living room and straight through to the back of the house leading to the garage.

Another shot of mom and dad's house... standing in the dining/kitchen area looking across to the living room.  That entire right wall is the "front" of their house.

This is the back corner of our house.  The big opening on the left section is a window on the game room.  The next opening to the right is a window in the guest bedroom, and the skinny opening is a back door.  The far right opening is my giant window over the kitchen sink.

Speaking of giant windows over the kitchen sink, there she is... or there she WILL be.

This is from the back of the driveway looking at one of the garage stalls on the left, then a regular door to walk into the garage.  The next opening moving right is one of two windows on that wall in the game room.

This is looking into our master bathroom.  It doesn't look like much now, but someday this view will be beautiful because our freestanding tub is going to be the first thing you see on that back wall.

I'm hopeful that we'll see all the roof pitches by Friday night.  I've had a tension headache and stiffness in my neck for about a week now which can only mean one thing-- our design appointment is tomorrow!  Wish us luck, and most of all, wish us peace to leave our decisions happily behind us when we leave the appointment.  I'm hoping to feel a huge weight lifted tomorrow night, as opposed to the added burden of second guessing.
